About the Artists:

Ash Espinoza x Carrie Peterson of Thyne

Ash Espinoza is a multidisciplinary artist currently focused on glass. He received his BFA at The Cooper Union. He was first introduced to glass at Kyoto Seika University, where he studied under artist Ikawa Saiko. His work explores ideas around lifespans, personal identity as a Mexican American, and the intersections between craft and fine art.

Carrie Peterson is a burgeoning artist/jewelry designer. Her approach to the creative process is chaotic and organic, leaning into the materials and how they naturally take shape with gravity and a grain of intention. Carrie's work is informed by patience, empathy, and struggle, with an eye towards escapism, recognizing true beauty lies in imperfection and forgiveness. She is also a small business owner and lives in Brooklyn with her husband, two wonky boys and a menagerie of cats and dogs.
